Job duties: Provide support in the design, development, implementation and code deployment; troubleshoot and tune problematic SQL codes, PL/SQL; architecture and design review for performance; tune the Oracle database configuration parameters for optimal performance; provide application development support services for Oracle application, OM, AR, AP, GL, BOM modules, interfaces and opening SRs and ERP production.

Quality Assurance Specialists (12 Positions)

Upani has recently entered in to a MOU for helping with resources for a company which is developing a software for farming operations. The product will have several versions and will cater to the needs of small, medium and large scale operations. We are looking for Quality Assurance specialists for making sure of the high level of Quality that the products are being planned to deliver. The project is being developed using Test Driven Development methodology which means a greater degree of interaction between development and testing teams from the development phase.

Senior Quality Analysts (3 positions)

Job responsibilities :

Technical

• Understand Project Requirements thoroughly.
• Work closely with project managers, market research analysts, business analysts, developers, release team, database team in coming up with test scenarios.
• Come up with possible test cases for each of the classes that developers are creating - this is not a typical tester responsibilities but we would like this to be a major part of the manual tester's day to day activities to strictly follow TDD methodology.
• Preparing Test Cases for module, integration and system testing.
• Work closely with database team in creating a Test Data.
• Analyzing the Test Cases prepared by other team members, providing feedback.
• Assigning test cases to testers.
• Record defects in the defect tracking system in accordance with the conventions of the internal Quality Assurance Standards document.
• Work closely with Developers in assigning / tracking and closing the bugs as per the procedures outlined in Quality Assurance Standards document.

General

• Participate and representing QA team in team meetings.
• Provide guidance to less experienced team members.
• Provide timely reports on the QA status of all modules that (s)he is responsible for.
• Provide suggestions for improvement of procedures in QA team.

Skills

• 5-6 Years of experience in a Product development environment
• Experience working with various teams harmoniously

Quality Analysts (6 positions)

Under guidance of Sr.Quality Analyst

• Writing of test cases
• Execution of test cases
• Recording of bugs in Quality Center
• Assigning and monitoring bugs
• Retesting of bugs after fix is applied.
• Closing of bugs , making sure that procedure is followed as per standards document.
• Provide daily reports on status of the test cases assigned.
• Help developers with creating of test classes.

Skills Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in manual testing , preferably in a product development environment
• Detail Oriented approach to problems
• Excellent team player approach
• Familiarity with Quality Center
• Experience writing SQL Queries
• Experience with Unix basic commands

Project Manager (6 Positions)

Upani has recently entered in to a MOU for helping with resources for a company which is developing a software for farming operations. The product will have several versions and will cater to the needs of small, medium and large scale operations. We need project managers to kick off the effort and take charge of the pre development, development and post development operations. This is a long term project with an initial duration expectation at 18 months and likely to get extended for 2 years.

Job Description

• Oversee the operation of surveys and interviews of small, medium and large scale farm operators.
• Manage the team of busniess alalysts and make sure the data collected is scientifically analyzed and recorded.
• Take part in the preparation of business requirements and ensure they reflct the business needs of most farming community
• Ensure the commercial success of the several versions of the product in terms of pricing and the effort in developing the products while still maintaining a competitiveness as a software choice.
• Work with software vendors in understanding the features and to make sure to get the most our of the products that we choose to buy from them;make sure the products are best suited to deliver the software goals set out in project charter.
• Streamline the process of conversion of Business requirements into software requirements
• Work with Tech Leads, architects and senior developers in determining the best options in terms of software platforms, languages and database choices.
• Make sure the products work best with existing software that the clients are using currently.
• Provdie guidence in developing plugins for the software to work with leading Enterprise Resource Planning prioducs like SAP, Oracle Apps etc.
• Leading Development, QA and release teams to make sure releases are as per the overall laster schedule and quality is maintained as per the quality standards set out in the project charter.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field of engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience leading software development, preferably whole life cycles of projects.
• PMP certification desired, although not essential
• Any experience / exposure to farming / agriculture related industry is preferable.
• Willingness to work late hours and motivate the team in meeting the deadlines on a regular basis.
• Extremely good communication and people skills.

Market Research Analysts (5 Positions)

Upani is contracted to provide top notch consultants for a local company engaged in writing a software for farming related activities. It is a comprehensive product having several versions to address the needs of the farming community based on their niche area of expertise. The expectation is by the time the product is released and goes through a few cycles of maturing process, it becomes the world leader in the market for such software.

In the initial phase of the project we are providing them with market research analysts ( 5 positions). The job responsibilities include but not limited to

• Devise in surveys. questionnaires, interviews and workshops with small medium and large scale farms.
• Conduct through market research into the existing software products delivering similar functionality.
• Provide analysis of the features that can what can make the product well soght after.
• Provide research into the cost vs competitiveness of each of all of the features that are being proposed by the rquirements team.
• Work closely with management in various pre- development, pre- market activities.
• Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
• Seek and provide information to help the company determine their possible position in the marketplace.
• Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution.
• Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.
• Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature.
• Measure and assess customer and employee satisfaction.
• Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.
• Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data.
• Attend staff conferences to provide management with information and proposals concerning the promotion, distribution, design, and pricing of products and / or services.

Requirements

• A strong commerce background
• MBA in marketing
• Several years of successful experience in conducting market research analysis, especially in IT related industry.
• Ability to understand and react to the product and market trends quickly.
